In Memoriam: Claude Mahaux (1937–2023).

Claude Mahaux, a professor emeritus in theoretical physics at the University of Liège, passed away on August 29, 2023. He was born on September 25, 1937, and had a distinguished career in nuclear physics. Mahaux made significant contributions to the field, particularly in the areas of the microscopic structure of the nuclear optical potential and many-body nuclear physics.
