Abstract

This guidance is providing instructions for the reporting of information on domesticated animal population to EFSA. It covers the technical aspects for the reporting of data at the establishment or subunit level using the domestic animal population data model developed in the context of the SIGMA project (more information on SIGMA project on: https://efsa.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.2903/sp.efsa.2022.EN‐7254). The guidance explains the individual data elements of the animal population data model and is intended to support the reporting countries in data transmission using eXtensible Markup Language (XML) data file transfer through the Data Collection Framework (DCF) according to the protocol described in the EFSA Guidance on Data Exchange version 2 (GDE2).
