Abstract

Abstract: We studied the magnetic transition of Mn1+ δ As1− x Sb x after various heat treatments. It was found that quenching from a melted state and subsequent annealing give a sharp magnetic transition in the present system. The peaks of the magnetic entropy change, , in 0–5T have almost the same high value of about 34J/Kkg for . The origin of large will be discussed from the thermodynamical point of view.
