Abstract
- The Tianshui section of the Zhongwei-Guiyang natural gas pipeline is located on the Loess Plateau, which is characterised by diverse geomorphological types, active tectonics, and complex geological conditions, and a variety of hidden and latent geological hazards. Sentinel-1A ascending and descending satellite data was used to decode and identify landslide hazards along the Tianshui section of the Zhongwei-Guiyang natural gas pipeline based on time-series synthetic aperture radar interferometry (InSAR), field review, development characteristics and typical landslide deformation analysis. A total of 17 landslide hazards were identified in the study area, 13 of which were finally identified in the field review, while the remaining four were areas of human engineering activities, among which the landslide deformation in Changgou and Moyugu villages was affected by rainfall. It is found that most of the landslides along the pipeline in the study area occurs at slopes of 40° ~ 50°, with a height difference of 400 ~ 600 m, within 100 ~ 150 m from the pipeline in the northeastern slope direction, and the geotechnical body is of low strength and the stratigraphy is dominated by Q4 a1+p1. The research results show that the time-series InSAR technology with combined lift and rail can effectively identify landslide hazards along the pipeline, providing an important scientific basis and reference for the safe operation of oil and gas pipelines and future oil and gas pipeline selection.
