Abstract

The article reports that Iranian-backed militias have curtailed their attacks on U.S. military bases in Iraq and Syria. Topics discussed include air strikes launched by the U.S. in retaliation to Iranian-backed militias' attack which killed American soldiers in Jordan, the U.S. government's statement that Iran will be held accountable for operations by proxy forces, and speculation that Iran has some control over the militias including the Hezbollah, Houthis and Hashd al-Shaabi.
