Abstract
- A panel established by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has found that Boeing's efforts to improve its safety culture following the two 737 MAX crashes have fallen short. The panel identified a disconnect between Boeing's senior management and others in the company regarding safety matters, as well as insufficient safeguards against retaliation for employees who report safety issues. The panel issued 53 recommendations, including expanding systems for workers to report safety problems and creating an investigation procedure to protect employees from retaliation. Boeing and the FAA have both stated that they will review the panel's report. [Extracted from the article]
