Abstract

The research progress of organic amine chemical absorbents is reviewed. The performance evaluation indexes of absorbents, CO2 capture mechanism of different absorbents, existing problems and development trends are reviewed. With the goal of 1.5 °C temperature rise and the vision of carbon neutralization, the research, development and application of carbon capture, utilization and storage technology have attracted more and more attention. Among many carbon capture technologies, the chemical absorption method with organic amine as the absorbent is the most studied and mature carbon capture technology. A number of demonstration projects have been built in the power, cement, chemical and other industries, which is most likely to achieve large-scale carbon emission reduction in the power and industrial sectors.
