Abstract
- The article discusses the armed conflicts between Armenia and Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh, which are seen as a result of a long-standing ethnic and geopolitical dispute. It also mentions other territorial conflicts in former Soviet Republics, such as Georgia, Chechnya, Crimea, and Ukraine. The Journal of International Media & Entertainment Law organized a symposium on the role of media institutions, government censorship, and social media speech norms in post-Soviet-era disputes. The issue includes articles by Dr. András Koltay on the European Union's ban on Russian media, Dr. Andrei Richter on propaganda for war in the digital era, and Dr. Andrej Skolkay on misinformation and disinformation in regional conflicts involving Russia.
