In the presented work, industrial waste, solid waste and their types and their impact on the environment were investigated. The change of natural environment elements under the influence of waste is shown. The problems of waste generation and use have been investigated. The stages of industrial waste processing are indicated. The theoretical foundations of the transition to waste-free technology have been defined.
