Abstract

Bricks are the extensively used construction material in building Walls, Pavement, & Other Elements in Masonry Construction. Clay Bricks Are a substantially used material for construction but ongoing days the huge production of brick consumes the quantity of clay which results in topsoil removal and land degradation. Currently, there are several waste materials utilized in construction like Fly Ash, Slag, Silica fume, tire rubber, cement kiln dust, coconut coir, etc. With the rapid climb in urbanization at a mean of 6 % per Annum, brick production has increased. This paper presents the on Fly ash brick with the addition of coconut coir and admixture (BRICK PLUS ULTRA). Fly ash, Cement, Quarry Dust, Sand, Coconut Coir, and Brick Plus Ultra Admixture are being used in this Research paper. Coconut coirhas increased in usage at an interval of 5%, 10 %, and 15 %. Admixture is mixed as rather than the weight of Fly ash 0.1 %, 0.2 %, and 0.3 % is used. The specimen was cast with different combinations like Fly Ash Brick with coconut coir, Fly Ash brick with admixture, Fly Ash with coconut coir and admixture. The specimens were cast and therefore the Compressive Strength Test was done for standard days (7 days, 14 Days, and 28 days). The most important objective of this paper is to understand the physical Properties, Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test and behavior of Bricks with the Addition of Coconut Coir and Admixtures in different proportions.
