Abstract

The earlier traditional building configuration adopted were a regular and symmetric building with a fixed and secure base. In practice, the building layout does not have to be symmetrical all of the time. Buildings, in actuality, are supported by the soil. Generally, during the analysis, we overlook the variable soil conditions and the building's non- linearity. In this instance, the building must be studied utilizing right technology and suitable software, taking into account soil structure interaction and behavior in its non-linear conditions. The software-assisted 3D model should be a duplicate of a realistic structure. The current study uses SAP 2000 V19.2.1 software to analyze ten-story, 3-D irregular construction. The selected irregularity is in the vertical direction with a permanent base and a variable soil base (continuum method). Linear static analysis and nonlinear static pushover analysis were conducted on the irregular structure. For both linear and non-linear analysis, the findings for vertically irregular buildings are compared for variable and fixed bases. There is a variance in displacement, base force, and time period. For future reference, the building with the most realistic results might be picked. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
