Abstract

Composites made of fiber-reinforced polymer TCP) are widely utilized in modem concrete technology since their supremacy over conventional steel reinforcement. These stuffs have a high strength potential, opposition to corrosion, they are used as main reinforcements in reinforced concrete (RC) beam members when combined with adhesives and anchorages. FRP strengthening methods using a mixture of fibers will increase in quality and plasticity of reinforced concrete beams. Various fiber, designs and strengthening method all affect the all-around strength of FRP composites in reinforced concrete beams. The review clear-cuts jacketing and confinement technique of reinforced concrete beam strength and using FRP. It reveals that these composites of FRP are adjusted to preserve the strength of weakened and corrosive beams while alert offering excellent durable and insulation. It also offers a clear description of FRP composites-RC beams subjected to strengthening and retrofitting methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
