Meta-analysis is a quantitative review method that combines the findings of studies conducted on a particular subject within a certain systematic framework and aims to reach an aggregate conclusion from these results. This overall result, called the effect size, is calculated, and interpreted by statistical techniques and sensitivity analyses specific to meta-analysis. Meta-analysis is widely used in health sciences and different disciplines. It has been more popular in recent years. Meta-analysis is used as an effective review method in educational sciences as well as in medical sciences. It provides researchers the opportunity to see the data of many studies in a holistic way and reach general results. in this study, the meta-analysis method was explained in outline. The basic concepts and models of meta-analysis are defined. The stages of performing a meta-analysis study are explained.
