Abstract

The author shares his reflections on the recognition of Black artists in Great Britain. Topics discussed include the increase in the number of Black artists in the Royal Academy of Arts, reasons for the difficulty in challenging white supremacy in art, and art gallery Tate Britain's disregard of Jamaican-born sculptor Ronald Moody, with the artist's reputation restored by "Tate Magazine" in its 2003 feature describing him as one of the country's most remarkable Modernist sculptor.
