Abstract
- Objective: to analyze the repercussions of the educational intervention of nurses using the Guide to the Autonomous Management of Medication for users of a Psychosocial Care Center. Methods: qualitative study, with a methodological framework in the Convergent Care Research, carried out with 27 users of a Psychosocial Care Center who participated in educational intervention groups. The principle of data triangulation was used, with four different data sources, participant observation, conversational interview, groups and field diary. Data analysis involved processes of apprehension, synthesis, theorization and transfer. Results: the educational intervention provided users with more empowerment regarding the treatment, organization of coping strategies for the problems and cooperated for the co-management of the treatment. Conclusion: The Autonomous Medication Management Guide proved to be an important instrument in the context of health education for the nursing care practice, and contributed to the sharing of care and autonomy in the psychosocial rehabilitation process.
