Abstract: The article discusses the effects of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) exposure on coke oven workers in Eastern Slovakia, revealing a significant increase in chromosomal aberrations and gaps. It emphasizes the potential mutagenic and carcinogenic risks associated with PAH exposure in industrial settings, and it emphasizes the importance of cytogenetic analysis for preventive and public health interventions.
