Abstract

Education has repercussions in the progress of a nation, it is a fundamental right that frees thought and becomes a cultural factor and promoter of economic, technological, scientific, political, social, human capital development and other elements that allow social well-being from a country. Hence, the purpose of this essay is to reflect on the pedagogical practice of the teachers of the Elementary School “Marcos Daniel Hernández Brito”, located in the Páez municipality of Apure State, incidence on the quality of education. For this, the teacher’s practice is considered as the work or activity carried out by the teacher in his daily life at the time of teaching classes and involves the so cial, historical and institutional context with which he achieves the understanding of the world where the teaching and learning processes take place, identifies those factors that intervene positively or negatively in the educational quality and affect the psychosocial, affective and cognitive development of the students and in their integral formation. All these considerations make the teacher a fundamental part of the educational process; that is, a guide, mediator and facilitator of culture, which, given his importance, is a reference and model for its students and society. The above allows us to recognize that in order to improve the educational quality it is necessary for the teaching professional to have the tools, capacities, strategies, means and resources necessary to carry out their work efficiently and pertinently.
