Renormalized expressions for momentum and energy exchange rates for a disparate mass gas mixture.

Zeroth-order gasdynamic equations are derived for the disparate mass gas mixture. The expressions obtained for the momentum and energy exchange rates differ significantly from those obtained in the framework of the traditional methods of the kinetic theory (the Chapman-Enskog-like method). Traditional methods inapplicability for deriving the gasdynamic equations with the number of gasdynamic variables exceeding the number of summational invariants is discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
