Abstract

The climate crisis is a concept used to express the anthropogenic effects on natural ecosystems that reached its peak with the Industrial Revolution. At the same time, it refers to a situation in which the climatic conditions that negatively affect the ecological life occur as a result of exceeding the transport limit of nature and the deterioration of the natural balance. As humanity discovered new places and new sea transportation routes through geographical discoveries, the use of ships increased and the efforts to meet this need caused serious pressures on the forest ecosystem. Similarly, in order to meet the increasing food demand with the increase in population, forested areas were opened to agriculture and this situation started to disrupt the balance of nature. The biggest negative intervention of humanity in ecological life is manifested by the Industrial Revolution. With the introduction of coal as an energy source, the pressure exerted on the forest ecosystem was also unfavorable on the marine ecosystem and fresh air. The pressures on natural balance since the 20th century lead to climatic changes that will have a negative impact on human life. Some parts of the world suffer from long-term droughts, while others suffer floods. However, as the increase in the use of harmful gases disrupts the balance of the gas in the atmosphere, global temperature refinement takes place, leading to an increase in the water level due to melting of glaciers in polar regions. The increase in the water level directly affects the island states and therefore the people living there and causes them to leave their place in time or indefinitely. Again, with the increase in drought, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa, serious problems will arise in terms of access to food and this situation will cause the migration of people living in arid regions. This situation, which is called as Ecological Migration affects both the emigration country and the receiving country negatively in terms of economic and social security The study aims to analyze the relationship between climate crisis and migration by explaining their concepts. After conceptual explanations and relationships are presented, it is aimed to obtain concrete outputs with general evaluations in the conclusion part. The study was created with a theoretical framework and referenced the studies done in this field. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
