Abstract

This article, titled "Surgical Resection for Trigeminal Schwannomas: An Institutional Experience," discusses the clinical characteristics and outcomes of patients who underwent surgical resection for trigeminal schwannoma (TS) in an institutional cohort. The study included 20 patients, with ages ranging from 21 to 68 years. The majority of tumors were Samii type C, and the most common presenting symptom was trigeminal hypesthesia. The study found that surgical resection of TS resulted in good progression-free survival and symptom improvement, although cranial nerve injuries were a common perioperative complication.
