Abstract

The purpose of cultural preservation is as a lesson, reminder, inspiration, as well as motivation in living life in the present and future. One of the heritage buildings that need to be preserved is Candi Kidal. Candi Kidal depicts the relics of Singasari Kingdom which has a unique characteristic of reliefs, namely Garudeya reliefs and medallion ornaments. Relief garudeya was chosen because it has a very deep meaning while the medalion was chosen because of its beauty and uniqueness. When the survey was conducted, the result was that the people of Malang Raya generally did not know the uniqueness of the relief of Candi Kidal. There are many ways to preserve cultural relics, one of which is to apply these relief ornaments to interior accessories products. The method used qualitatively and in the design process of this research uses the ATUMICS approach. The main reason for choosing this method is to explore the main concepts of the artifacts obtained in order to be developed into appropriate design objects. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
