Abstract
- A tangential contact model is proposed to describe the tangential response of the joint interface. Firstly, a normal contact model considering elastic-plastic state is established. Secondly, the tangential contact behavior of asperities subjected to normal load is analogously represented through the configuration of parallel Jenkins elements within the IWAN model. A continuous function with well-defined physical significance is formulated to delineate the distribution of critical slip displacements among asperities. Finally, the precision of the tangential model is affirmed through a comparison with previously published experimental data. Through an investigation of the influences of normal load and surface topography parameters on the slip rate at the joint interface, an in-depth analysis of the contact state of the joint interface is conducted.
