Abstract

The educational potential of cultural heritage has been strongly defended in recent decades. At the same time, there has been a boost in digitalization processes, especially integrated into teaching as a result of COVID19. This paper aims to test whether these apparently parallel paths are convergent but, above all, whether it is possible to make these two spheres flow synergistically in the context of primary school. This paper presents the first results of a larger research project whose sample was primary school teachers in Sicily (Italy). Through quantitative techniques, the place of digital resources in the introduction of heritage in the classroom is analysed. The results show that digital resources are increasingly integrated into the teaching of heritage in primary school, but they show a teaching profile that is still closely linked to transmissive teaching [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
