The relationships between politicians and technicians in the field of culture, especially in the areas of public administration, are not clearly defined. It is a field in which problems often arise. The objective of the article is, from a perspective of personal professional experience, to analyze the typology of these relationships. To do this, we start from an analysis of the role of the relationship capacity in the professional profile of a cultural manager, to then define the role that both the cultural manager and the responsible politician must play in addition to identifying bad practices of both cultural managers and politicians, finally indicating the special characteristics of cultural management that influence these relationships.
