Abstract
- The article is a review of a book that contains nine essays on early Hispanic modernity. The essays focus on the circulation of books, ideas, and vocabulary between both sides of the Atlantic. The book analyzes works by renowned authors such as Sor Juana and the Inca Garcilaso, as well as lesser-known works. Topics such as the figure of the pirate, the idealized construction of Lima, and the indeterminacy of spatial references in poetry are also discussed. Additionally, a return to historicism is proposed in the interpretation of the works of the Inca Garcilaso. [Extracted from the article]
