Abstract
- This article discusses recent advances in medical radiation technology and its impact on personalized medicine, early diagnosis, and therapy. It explains the difference between ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and their various medical uses, including nuclear medicine, X-ray radiography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and photodynamic therapy (PDT). The article also highlights specific studies on the use of flickering light stimulation for Alzheimer's disease treatment, renin-angiotensin system inhibitors for mitigating radiation pneumonitis in lung cancer patients, selective PFKFB3-targeted PET tracers for cancer diagnosis, and carbon nitride-Rose Bengal nanoparticles for photothermal/radiation therapy in breast cancer. Overall, the article provides an overview of the interest and advancements in medical radiation technology for research and clinical purposes. [Extracted from the article]
