The article is a review of Harold Bertot Triana's book on the jurisprudence of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR). The author analyzes topics such as the control of conventionality, diplomatic asylum, the rights of indigenous peoples, social and political rights, indefinite re-election, and the denunciation of the American Convention. The importance of the IACHR's work in protecting human rights in the American region is highlighted. Jurisprudential decisions regarding communal property, consultation and free consent of indigenous peoples, as well as political corruption and indefinite presidential re-election in Latin America, are also mentioned.
