Abstract

SaxaVord Spaceport in the UK has been granted a license to launch rockets, marking a significant step forward for the country's space ambitions. Although the first UK launch last year was unsuccessful, it served as a test for the authorization process led by the Civil Aviation Authority. The regulation of launches in the UK is a complex task, involving both national and international responsibilities. In addition to launching rockets, UK spaceports are also creating jobs, attracting infrastructure investment, and promoting sustainable innovation, such as renewable energy sources and reusable launchers. The goal is for SaxaVord Spaceport to achieve carbon-neutral launches by 2030. [Extracted from the article]
