Abstract
- Morscher's, a butcher shop in Ridgewood, is closing after nearly 70 years due to a rent increase. The shop, known for its German, Austrian, Polish, and Slovenian meats, is a part of Ridgewood's history as a home of Gottscheers. The owner, Herbert Morscher, tried to buy the building but was unsuccessful. Longtime customers are disappointed and will have to turn to other local butcher shops. [Extracted from the article]
