Abstract
- The article discusses the need for more reliable data on the impact of cover crops (CC) on soil organic carbon stocks (SOCS). The authors argue that previous meta-analyses have not adequately examined the robustness of the underlying data and that there is limited evidence to support the claim that CC increases SOCS worldwide. They suggest that nutrient availability in the soil may be a key factor influencing the response of SOCS to CC. The authors emphasize the importance of improving future studies to gather more accurate information and understanding of the mechanisms involved. [Extracted from the article]
