Internal Relational Illustration: A Pilot Clinical Case Study.

The history of marriage and family therapy includes various ways to map families. This pilot case study aimed to fill the gaps in research concerning the use of maps in therapy while also introducing a new concept in Internal Family Systems (IFS) of a structured formalized way to create maps with clients. Using a qualitative method, the researcher presented therapy sessions with one established IFS client using the Internal Relational Illustration (IRI) method.
