The quarry is situated approx. 1 km Northeast from the Bohuslávky municipality in the cadastral area of Dolní Újezd, local part Skála. Extensive one level quarry was not so far well described. The quarry is situated on the very southern edge of the Moravice Formation of the Nízký Jeseník Culm basin. Sedimentological, paleontological and ichnological data were collected from the Lower Carboniferous Culm basin of Moravosilezian area within a field research by the geology staff of the Regional Museum in Olomouc. Trace fossils, fossil remnants of goniatites, fossil plant remnants, sole markings and microbial mats or biolamination were found.
