Abstract

This article discusses a recently published book titled "Australian perspectives on global air and space power: past, present, future." The book provides insights into Australia's air and space power capabilities and their historical development. Divided into five parts, the book covers topics such as Australia's role in global conflicts, the evolution of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), and the future vulnerabilities and innovations in air and space power. While the book offers valuable insights, it is noted that the structure of the book could be improved, and there is a lack of diversity in perspectives, with only five out of 20 authors being women. Nonetheless, the book provides useful criticisms and recommendations for Australian policy-makers to consider in shaping the country's strategic direction. [Extracted from the article]
