Abstract: The article presents news related to medical care. The International Glaucoma Association is calling on all road users over the age of 40 to get their eyes checked. Research nurse Gerry King is to conduct much of the fieldwork for a project on rural health in the Highlands. The project is being conducted by the Centre for Rural Health at Aberdeen University in conjunction with the university's business school. It will examine how the ageing population in rural Highland communities will shape the future of local amenities and services.
