Abstract

Yundang Lake in Xiamen City, China, has undergone a remarkable transformation from a polluted lagoon to a thriving ecological destination. The local government has implemented measures to clean the water, shut down polluting factories, and dredge accumulated sludge. Mangrove planting has restored the aquatic ecology, attracting waterfowl and enhancing biodiversity. The success of Yundang Lake is a result of continuous efforts, legal and financial support, and the active participation of the community. Xiamen's green development practices reflect China's commitment to balancing economic growth with environmental protection. [Extracted from the article]
