Abstract
- Ibn al-Mu'taz, one of the Abbasid poets, had a great interest in poetry from a young age and wrote poems on many subjects. Although he said that tradition should be maintained in poems, he followed a more innovative method and composed poems that reflected the conditions of the time in terms of form and content. As a matter of fact, due to this feature, he was described as an "innovative poet". Ibn al-Mu'taz, who was considered successful in all subjects of classical Arabic poetry, was more prominent and considered more talented in some of them. One of these is hunting poems. Hunting poems, one of the basic subjects of Arabic poetry, were not examined separately in poems until the Abbasid Period, but could find a place in different types of odes and poems. In the Abbasid Period, it had an important place in poems and was the subject of poems independently. Some poets of the period made great contributions to hunting poems becoming independent and becoming one of the independent subjects of Arabic poetry in this period. Not only that, poets also contributed greatly to the development of hunting poems in terms of form and content. One of them is Ibnü'l-Muʿtaz. In this study, İbnü'l-Muʿtaz's poetry and his position in hunting poetry will be touched upon, and his poems will be examined in terms of form and content. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
