The objective of this work is to understand the importance of the women farmers' work to maintain traditional knowledge about medicinal plants based on geographic and gender studies. This research uses qualitative analysis as a methodology, carried out through a bibliographical review and collection of primary information from the women farmers who are part of the "Collective of Women Farmers of SINTRAF-FB". Such farmers are essential for the maintenance of labor in the field, as well as for safeguarding knowledge and species of medicinal plants. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
