ARAPÇA SORU ÜSLÛBU VE CEVAP CÜMLELERİNDE KULLANILAN "لبى" BELÂ KELİMESİNİN TÜRKÇEYE ÇEVİRİSİ PROBLEMİ.

Question sentences are forms of speech addressed to the interlocutor in order to get an answer. The speaker aims to learn something through these sentences. Due to the structure of each language, these sentences are used in different forms. There are different types of interrogative sentences in Arabic, such as the affirmative interrogative sentence, the interrogative sentence indicating preference, and the negative interrogative sentence. These are the most basic types of interrogative sentences in Arabic. This study examines the answers given to negative interrogative sentences among these types of interrogative sentences. The aim of this study is to reveal that the Turkish translations attributed to the word "لبى" used in these response expressions are erroneous. In doing so, by making use of classical dictionaries, basic and modern grammatical sources, both the meaning and usage of لبى will be determined and the Turkish equivalent of this word will be determined.
