Abstract

In order to study the shot peening that occurs during the application of powder coatings, experiments are carried out on glass shot peening of steel test strips using a CCDS2000 detonation device. Experimental dependences of the shot peening depth and the residual stresses in a hardened layer on treatment parameters (particle size, density, and velocity, as well as the strength of the test strip material) are obtained.
