Abstract

In this article, we report the investigation of the impact of temperature change on the electrochemical propertiesof the prepared composite of molybdenum diselenide and iron oxyhydroxide. The MoSe2@FeOOH (MSFH) compositewas synthesized via the hydrothermal-assisted chemical blending route. The composite formation was confirmed via X-ray diffraction, FTIR, and Field emission electron microscopy characterization tools. The thermal behavior of the MSFH composite was studied via a differential scanning calorimetry tool. The change in electrochemical behavior with temperature (40 to 80 ā„ƒ) of the symmetric cell based on theMSFH composite has been investigated here. The maximum specific capacitance for a cellat 60 ā„ƒ was observed to be around 91 F gāˆ’1 (at 100 mV sāˆ’1). Hence, the electrochemical resultsindicate the practical use of MSFH-based symmetric cells over a wider range oftemperatures in energy storage applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
