Abstract

Currently, up to 99% of butadiene-1,3 is obtained during oil refining, however, in light of the depletion of hydrocarbon reserves, the search for alternative methods for obtaining butadiene-1,3 from renewable resources is an urgent task. One of the most promising renewable sources of raw materials is ethanol. The research work is devoted to the development of a catalyst for the process of obtaining butadiene-1,3 from ethanol. In the work, the main regularities of the process of converting ethanol into butadiene-1,3 were established, and a method for developing a new highly efficient catalyst for this process was proposed. The kinetic analysis of the reaction was also carried out, the main stages of the butadiene production process and side reaction pathways were determined, the most effective catalysts for each of the stages were searched for, and a multifunctional butadiene synthesis catalyst based on the most active and selective components was developed.
