Abstract
- The article presents experimental results on ultrasonic drying of various textile materials. Ultrasonic exposure is carried out in conjunction with the supply of heated air. For thin textile materials with low density, non-contact ultrasonic treatment is carried out with a sound pressure level of 160 dB. A reduction in drying time compared to only convective drying by 5-28% was found depending on the type of material. Ultrasonic drying of cotton fabrics with a sound pressure level of 160 dB made it possible to reduce the drying time by 5% compared to convective drying. Increasing the sound pressure level to 165 dB led to a reduction in drying time by 17% compared to convective. For drying thick and rather dense woolen material, contact ultrasonic treatment is used. It has been established that this method can reduce the drying time by up to 30% compared to only convective drying which is now used in the production of textile materials. The experiments carried out make it possible to formulate recommendations for ultrasonic drying of textile materials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
