Abstract
- The paper considers the use of an ultrasonic disk emitter capable of generating secondary acoustic effects that allow particles to move within the nodal regions of a standing wave and between them, thereby increasing the time of exposure to each particle to increase the efficiency of coagulation. Such exposure significantly increases the probability of collision of particles smaller than 2.5 µm, and, consequently, increases the coagulation efficiency to 96-98%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
