The idea of used territory comes from the need to bring it closer to the basis of the reproduction of life, emphasizing the use, that is, enjoyment of time, space and body, therefore of other temporalities and spatialities, swallowed up by the capitalist production of space. Thus, the objective of this paper is to analyze the fragmentation of the Dom Expedito neighborhood, located in the city of Sobral, into territories and the relationship between them. To this end, it used bibliographic research, interviews, statistical data production and mapping as methodological procedures. It concludes that fragments emerge due to a political economy of the city that unevenly inserts spaces into a circuit of valorization and spatial productivity, hence juxtaposition, separation and segregation.
