Synthesis of a novel tetra-phenol π-extended phenazine and its application as an organo-photocatalyst.

In this paper, the synthesis of a novel tetra-phenol π-extended dihydrophenazine is reported. The obtained derivative presents marked reducing properties in the excited state and was exploited as an organo-photocatalyst in dehalogenation and C–C bond formation reactions.
