Abstract

Diesel engines are highly efficient but rely on diminishing fossil fuels. To address this, researchers partially replaced diesel with mahua biodiesel and added di-ethyl ether (DEE) to improve the combustion rate. B20, a blend with 20% biodiesel, showed higher brake thermal efficiency (BTE). Combining B20 and DEE as AD-20 increased BTE and reduced fuel consumption by 11.8% compared to diesel. AD-20 also significantly lowered tailpipe emissions, offering a cleaner and greener solution for diesel engines. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
