Abstract
- This research aimed to evaluate the activation of science laboratories in second-cycle schools in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman according to the Taylor model. The sample was (112), including (69) male teachers and (43) female teachers, and a random method was used to determine them. The descriptive approach was followed in the study, and the tool was applied electronically, which is a (questionnaire) consisting of five domains (laboratory technician, science teacher, students, laboratory, and scientific subject). The psychometric properties of the tool were calculated, and Pearson correlation coefficients were calculated for the validity of the questionnaire for all domains, and they were appropriate. The laboratory field had the highest correlation, at a rate of 0.79, and the student field had the lowest correlation, at a rate of 0.68. The Cronbach alpha method was used to verify the reliability of the scale and reached 0.91. One of the most important findings of the research is the presence of statistically significant differences in the difficulties of using and activating science laboratories in teaching due to years of experience. Among the recommendations that we hope to understand and implement is to clarify the role and impact of activating school laboratories on academic achievement. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
