Abstract

Berghaus Eller is a small three-story house located in the Austrian Alps in the municipality of Blons. The house, designed by Innauer Matt Architekten, blends modern aesthetics with traditional architectural wisdom. The design team worked with the existing terrain, stacking the house upward from a small footprint and orienting the main facade downhill to maximize sunlight. The house features a shared middle floor for daily life, with private spaces above and below. The facade is made of locally sourced cross-laminated spruce, giving it a soft and fine quality. The house is surrounded by scenic views and offers both isolation and access to neighboring countries. [Extracted from the article]
