Abstract

The James Webb Space Telescope has been used to study the Crab Nebula, a remnant of a supernova explosion that occurred over 900 years ago. The nebula is a cloud of debris that was ejected from the explosion site and has expanded to a size of over 10 light-years. The telescope's infrared imaging has revealed different structures within the nebula, including dust and synchrotron radiation. Astronomers hope that these observations will help answer questions about the origins of the nebula and the star that created it. [Extracted from the article]
