Abstract

The article presents the results of experimental studies of the operation of traction electric motors of an AC electric train of the ED9T series in various operating conditions. The results of evaluation of the operating modes and technical condition of DC traction motors of the ED9T series electric train are provided. The problem of diagnosing the technical condition of traction electric motors of electric rolling stock of railways is proposed to be solved using mathematical processing of oscillograms of the current curve in the armature winding circuit, Fourier expansion and digital processing of harmonic current components in the MATLAB software package. The resulting logarithmic spectral components of the current and spectrograms are used to diagnose TED and build an on-board adaptive system for diagnosing a traction motor, as well as to predict failures.
